A muddy walk

The 28th of November

We left early on the morning, around 7:30. The owners saw that I was carrying an uke so they asked me to play some for them, which I did. It was a really nice experience.

After saying goodbye we went to Huka Falls. It's a really powerfull waterfall that could fill an olympic pool in about three seconds. Now that's a lot of water.

And you got that amazing selfie for free as well. We drove past lake Tahpei which is the biggest lake in New Zealand. It is so big you can't actually see the other side. It looked more like a sea than a lake. We continued past the lake and arrived at the Blue Duck Lodge. The people running it was really nice and we had a warm reception.

After dropping off our shit (backpacks, etc) we went for a hike to a waterfall in the near viscinity. Of course it started raining and it was REALLY muddy. It was amazing. We got to the waterfall, but we couldn't see it from beneath cause it was flooded. All that walking for nothing.

On the way back we all got super wet. But one of the owners picked us up and drove us back at least a little of the way.

Coming back I had a shower before heading to the lodge again for the dinner. It was really nice. Sheppards pie I believe it was. We had a drink and enjoyed the night, before going to bed, Twinkles shared some champagne and we had a few laughs. Two of the guys that was late the other day had to chase a pig. I also threw some axe. I was really shitty at it.

That's about it for that day. Next up; Mount Doom.

End of day five.
