Pissin' in bins

Heya!

So I have been quite bad at updating, as is common when you have a lot of fun.

Needless to say there has been quite the consumption of alcohol. I now have a huge family (as one of the guys here put it) of friends at the hostel, and everyone is having an awesome time. Especially me. This is the reason I have not been writing the past days. I have been having all too much fun.

I am still not saving a penny, but I don't give a shit. I eat and drink well, I do what I want to do, stay up late, play ukulele etc etc. Let's see if I have any pictures...

Erm... Yeah. Well to be fair I have a lot more, but I have not been using my phone to surf lately, since I buy this really shitty wifi on the hostel! I think I'll take a day and add some in the days to come though.

What else? There has been a lot of adventures in night-time Melbourne as I just menttioned about three thousand times. There has also been quite the uke-playing. I have been working around five hours a day, five days a week. I have now embraced my new nick-name; Pedophil. Yeah, I'm not super proud of it, but it is kind of good for making inappropriate jokes. The story behind it?

Well, I was living with a bunch of guys in a room (where I still live. There are some pictures in a previous post) and we were actually two Phils, living under the same roof. I got the not so charming name of Pedophil, and the other guy, Chimp from a previous post, got Necrophil. Yeah.

Another kind of cool thing that has been happening lately is that I get all the friends to sing songs as for example 'In the jungle', using my ukulele. Today we were about 15 people singing and it was glorious. We are thinking of doing a flashmob in the near future at either Melbourne Central or MacDonalds, singing Tenacious D's Fuck her gently.

I think that is it for now.

Now stop pissing in our bin guys, it's not funny. (Well, a little, but also disgusting)

A little more time spent in Melbourne

Hiya Guys!

So what up? Nothin' much.

Chris and a guy named Steph (?) celebrated their birthdays and of course I was smack in the middle of it, playing my uke and drinking myself stupid.

They each got a bottle of vodka, the got hand cuffed together, and then we sprayed 'em with the colorful stringy things you see on the picture (reminds me of Palmfestivalen back home in Trelleborg actually).

Me with spray glitter in my face and Chris being drunk.

Yes, the last picture is a bit random, escpecially the random asian guy sitting there. The thing I wanted to show you guys is the painting in the background though. Seem familiar? Check the earlier updates!

There's been a lot of drinking, a lot of uke-playing and a lot of working the past week. Henrik got a job that is a little more stable which means we now can relax the idea of him leaving eralier and concentrate on going to New Zeeland in december, and the Asia in januari.

I'm not very homesick still. Sure I miss you guys at home, but I am having way too much fun still. There are things that makes me a little homesick though. Random things. Things I'd never thought about before. Like when I have to arrange mushrooms at work. The smell of them makes me think about the little woods just outside my hometown. Or like the smell of wet pavement that makes me think of summer rains in Sweden. Even walking home from work, I walk on quite a narrow small, one-way street, and it makes me think of Trelleborg. As said, just small things really. You guys back home are missed though. Dearly. Can't wait to get home after I spent my year here.

That's it for this time. I'll try to update more often (like you've never heard that before), and this sunday I hope to see a lot of happy faces on skype!

Catch you guys on the flip side.

The feeding in a park

Hi guys!

So what's happened the last week? Nothing much.

I am now Rabbit. Or well, that is my new animal name at least. I have not yet deduced why this particular animal fell on my head, but at least it's better than chimp. Or monkey. Or donkey. Anyway. I have no idea where it started, but Weasel, a pretty nice britt here at the hostel just started to give everyone animal names. There is no explanation for the names though. They are usually quite strikiningly accurate though. I wonder what happened with my name.

Weasel

I have been out partying this past weekend, both celebrating Henrik's birthday and our friend Elysha's birthday. I also drank in a park with Phil (Chimp) and Jakob (Sheepdog), where we fed wild opposums. It was really cool.

We were drinking goon when all of a sudden we see this little fellah. He looks like a mix between a tiny dog and a squirrel with a bit of rat thrown into the mix. Phil remembered he had an apple in his backpack, and drunk as we were, we decided that handfeeding an opposum would be epic. And let me tell you, it was.

As soon as we started feeding the one though, at least four others came down a big tree just by us and all wanted apple. We held pieces of apple so that they could take it into their tiny hands and some of them were so tame we could actually pet them! It was amazing and probably not a very good idea. It made the night though.

Yaaaay! Apple!

What else? Me, sheepdog and Chimp went to St Kilda to shop for some clothes. We saw some cool stuff but we didn't find anything we wanted. The reason I waned new jeans is because the two pairs I have are either too big or has holes in the crotch, which isn't that nice. We ended up leaving St Kilda without anything newly bought. Me and Phil went to a factory outlet instead and I bought myself two new pair of jeans and a new hoodie. Life is good.

Chimp and Sheepdog

On the tram I also noticed quite the interesting name for a park. Maybe I should check it out?

I am still working just enough to eat and do what I want and we are planning a trip to the great ocean road in the near future. I'll tell you all about it if we decide to go!

I think that was it.

Cya!

Yoga with a friend

Hiya guys and girls!

So yesterday was kind of a hectic day, but really not. I had the day off so I was planning to buy some clothes (shirt and jeans for starters), and just relax. Turned out a bit different.

I slep in to about 12 before dragging my ass out of bed. Jakob, who now has a bed in my room, said he was going to St. Kilda (which I have wrote about earlier in the blogg). I tagged along to a friend of his that lives near Flinder Street Station. It was a nice apartment at the 12th floor and as such it had quite the view. We were just going to spend a little time there and wait for the guy's room mate who apparently didn't have a key, but ended up staying there som time, watching TV and just hanging out. After a while I decided to go back to the hostel and change because I was meeting Emma for, get this, yoga.

What can I tell you? It was far "heavier" than I though it would be. A little too spiritual maybe, but all in all a good experience. And it didn't cost a penny. I am actaully considering doing it again next monday.

After the yoga Emma insisted on a "after-yoga-beer" (to go with her after-yoga-cigarette) and so we left to one of the oudoor bars and had ourselves a beer. After a nice little chat I hurried back to the hostel to meet up with the other guys and we went out to European Beer Café who had half price on their beer this evening. I came home at around four and then slept on and off until about 11.

Today was an ordinary working day and is soon to be finished with a movie. Which one is undecided though.

Catch you on the flip side!

PS. Sorry for the lack of photos. My phone is acting up. Sometimes I hate technology.
Here's the latest one of my tattoo design though if it makes you feel any better.
